Connecting phone apps to a Milestone installation

Settings vary slightly between iPhone and Android phones.

iPhone
There are two apps in the Apple App Store, but only XProtect Mobile will work. XProtect Mobile Express & Pro cannot connect to these systems.

Android
There's only one Milestone in the Android Play Store: XProtect Mobile. Install it, accept the agreement and tap "Add Server."

Setup directions are the same for both platforms:
  1. Tap Edit, then Add Server


  3. Enter a name to identify it

    Address: IP address provided by Accudapt
    Protocol: http://
    Port number: 8081
    Tap Continue login
  4. Enter the account information that you were provided by Accudapt.

    Tap Basic user
    Enter username & password
    Tap Log in
  5. The app will attempt to connect and validate settings.
    When it connects, you'll see a list of view groups:

    Tap on Default group
  6. You'll now see a list of view groups. You may or may not have more than one at your site. Choose the one that you want to view:
  7. That view will open and the cameras in it will appear on your screen in a grid. Tap on any to make it the focus. Tap the back arrow in the upper left to go to the full list again.
That's it. Your iPhone is all set to view the cameras at your site.
